Our directors Philip and Laura have worked in the industry for over 20 years. Initially training in Furniture Design at Edinburgh College of Art and Interior Architecture and Design in Nottingham, they came together over 15 years ago to set up Born Designers.

Prior to this, they both worked for luxury hotel brands in London, Sweden, Switzerland and Miami and retailers throughout Europe, designing incredible spaces for people to sleep, shop, dine and relax.

With their roots firmly set in Brighton the studio focuses on a core commitment to enhancing living spaces. They prioritise client collaboration, fostering strong relationships with architects and contractors alike and specialising in high end residential work and commercial ventures and are both regularly called upon to consult for other design practices.

They have recently established a workshop space dedicated to production of small batch furniture pieces, bespoke commissions and prototypes for interior details.
