Born Designers create cohesive, thoughtful interiors that reflect the way you live. The Brighton-based interior architecture and design studio, founded by Laura & Philip Stewart, was born through a collaboration of their complementary disciplines, spatial thinking and the craft of the made object.

After years at some of the world's leading interior design companies, they established their own studio 15 years ago, bringing an international depth of knowledge to high-end residential, hospitality and retail projects. They have since built a quiet reputation for creating interiors that are as rigorously considered as they are beautiful to live and work in.

"Every project is treated as a piece of interior architecture, with each space considered for how you live, how it feels, and how the building connects to and sits within its natural surroundings. We listen carefully to our clients to understand the emotional motivation behind every project and always strive to create spaces with resonance," says Laura. "Our clients value the transformation at the end, but equally the element of trust and confidence that we nurture with them at every step of the way."

The studio's sister company, Born Makers, is a workshop dedicated to small-batch furniture and bespoke commissions, which gives clients access to a further layer of craft, a capability few studios can offer.
