TIMBER KITCHEN

A Victorian house extension on a hill-top site in Brighton. Maximising every inch of available space and natural light, we found space for a guest bathroom and discreet laundry area and created flow via a new glazed link between the living room and kitchen. New steps into the kitchen and a further level-change down to a dining area created a cosy sociable nook fully opening to the garden. Our sustainable approach to materials created a biophilic space flooded with natural light and the unexpected shadow play throughout the day. All timber work by Born Makers joinery workshop.

"The kitchen was dark and garden was barely accessible. It was transformed into a light-filled space that opens up beautifully to the garden."
